About the role
At Saltire Infrastructure, we're not interested in standing still.
We're a specialist contractor delivering critical water, wastewater and civil infrastructure projects across Western Australia. As our business continues to grow, we're expanding our Operations, Maintenance and Technology (OMT) team and are looking for motivated Utilities Technicians who want to be part of a company that values safety, teamwork and quality workmanship.

About the RoleWorking across metropolitan and regional Western Australia, you'll be involved in the maintenance, installation and operation of critical water infrastructure. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong safety focus, attention to detail and the ability to work around live underground services and ageing infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining and repairing water infrastructure and equipment
Locating underground services and interpreting BYDA plans
Working safely around live utilities using hand and mechanical excavation techniques
Operating and assisting with specialised equipment including hot tapping, line stopping, bypass systems and CCTV inspection equipment
Recording maintenance activities and operational data using digital systems
Working collaboratively with project teams to deliver quality outcomes
Maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance and workmanship.
We're looking for people who are reliable, safety-focused and enjoy practical, hands-on work.
You'll ideally have:
Experience within water utilities, civil construction or a related industry
Construction White Card
Current Driver's Licence
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Ability to work outdoors and undertake physically demanding work
Willingness to travel and undertake rostered weekend work where required
Desirable qualifications include:
MR Driver's Licence
Excavator ticket
PVC Pipelaying certification
Identify, Locate and Protect Services qualification.
