A Day In The Life with Uniting Aged Care

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare and cook daily meals that meet individual dietary requirements, including texture-modified options.
• Plan and rotate menus in consultation with the Service Manager and residents.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage food purchasing, storage, and usage within budget guidelines.
• Foster a safe and respectful kitchen environment, adhering to Safe Work Practices.

Who We’re Looking For

• Ideally, you’ll be a qualified Chef with a Certificate III in Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, or equivalent.
• Experience in aged care or healthcare settings highly regarded.
• Familiarity with cook-fresh and cook-chill methodologies.
• Strong understanding of dietary controls and texture-modified food preparation.
• Compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold – aligned with Uniting’s core values.
