Senior Diagnostic Technician

Cockburn Toyota is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our dealership in the role of Senior Diagnostic Technician.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults

• Performing advanced fault-finding using Toyota diagnostic equipment and software

• Vehicle servicing and repairs across a range of makes and models

• Acting as a technical point of reference for junior technicians and apprentices, providing guidance and mentoring where required

• Following correct procedures when carrying out warranty work, including detailed diagnostic reporting

• Ensuring commitment and compliance to OHS and other company policies

• Contribution to reaching monthly customer satisfaction targets

What we are looking for:

• Qualified Mechanics with substantial experience as a Diagnostic or Senior Technician

• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems, with proven advanced diagnostic ability

• A current Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate or equivalent

• Experience with Toyota diagnostic tools and systems highly regarded (or demonstrated ability to quickly upskill)

• A current valid Driver's License

• Ability to work autonomously, under pressure, and meet deadlines

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to service advisors and customers

Reporting to the Workshop Controller, you will work as part of a solid team, taking the lead on complex diagnostic work to ensure repairs are carried out at the highest standard and that customer satisfaction is always exceeded.
