About the role
This is a 12-month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027 with possible extension and/or permanency
Nestled amongst the trees and overlooking the Swan River (Derbal Yerrigan), North Fremantle Primary School (NFPS) offers a warm, community-focused environment where students are encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Established in the 1890's and relocated to John Street in 1967, our school has a proud tradition of educating generations of families, many of whom maintain strong connections to the school today.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and collaborative teacher to join our team and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning across the school. The successful applicant would display strong curriculum knowledge and a commitment to excellence in classroom practice, with an interest in developing their leadership capabilities through middle leadership opportunities.
You would display sound knowledge of explicit instruction and evidence-based teaching practices, together with the ability to build positive and respectful relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community. As a valued member of our team, you would actively contribute to the promotion of the school's values, ethos and priorities, fostering a culture of collaboration, shared responsibility and continuous improvement.
The successful applicant will ideally be a committed teacher seeking opportunities to extend their professional influence beyond the classroom. Working alongside school leaders and colleagues, you would support staff to interrogate data, support curriculum implementation, contribute to whole-school planning and help embed quality teaching practices that improve outcomes for all students.
