About the role
The Opportunity

The APVMA’s Veterinary Medicines program is seeking applications for an APS6 Senior Risk Manager to manage and coordinate a diverse portfolio of registration, variation and permit applications.
Located in either Canberra ACT or regional Armidale NSW, you will gain experience in the Australian Public Service, have access to a variety of flexible working arrangements, and contribute to the ongoing safety and availability of veterinary medicines in Australia.
The Role
Working within established legislative and policy frameworks, the Senior Risk Manager will apply expertise and technical knowledge within the Veterinary Medicines 2 team to manage/coordinate the workflow of registration, variation or permit applications to evaluate the safety, efficacy, trade impact and labelling, as relevant, of regulated veterinary chemical products within legislative timeframes. In undertaking this role, you will work on applications of varying complexity, be required to liaise and consult with internal and external stakeholders, and take the risks and requirements of public health, work health and safety, animal safety, efficacy, trade risks and environmental safety into consideration.
