MOTOR MECHANIC

About the role

Tyre Tread (Capital Special Repairs Pty Ltd) is seeking a qualified and dependable Motor Mechanic to join our workshop team. The successful applicant will carry out servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs, while also supporting tyre and wheel services. This is a hands-on role for a mechanic who can work safely, accurately and independently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and vehicle safety inspections.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and computer scan systems, including fault-code identification and special functions.

• Repair and replace components associated with engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking and cooling systems.

• Fit and change tyres; perform wheel balancing, puncture repairs, wheel rotations and related tyre services.

• Carry out wheel alignments where required.

• Test-drive vehicles when necessary to identify faults and verify completed repairs.

• Complete job cards and maintain accurate service and repair records.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop and comply with all work health and safety procedures.
