Culinary Trainer & Assessor

The Institute of Culinary Excellence is looking for a passionate and experienced hospitality professional to join our team as a Culinary Trainer and Assessor.

This role offers an opportunity to share your industry knowledge, support the next generation of hospitality professionals and enjoy a rewarding new direction.

As a Culinary Trainer and Assessor, you’ll work with students to develop the practical skills, confidence and professional standards they need to succeed in the hospitality industry.

You’ll bring real-world kitchen experience into the training environment, delivering engaging, relevant and supportive learning experiences while maintaining the high standards ICE is known for.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or an equivalent recognised cookery qualification

• Holds a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a higher or successor qualification

• Has current and relevant commercial cookery experience

• Is passionate about sharing their knowledge and supporting others to succeed

• Communicates clearly and works well with students from diverse backgrounds

• Is organised, reliable and committed to quality training and assessment

• Approaches their work with integrity, professionalism and care

• Is open to new opportunities and continued professional development

Previous training experience would be valued, but just as importantly, we’re looking for someone with strong industry knowledge, a genuine desire to teach and a commitment to excellence.
