The Opportunity

Join our growing Allied Health team in a role focused on making Occupational Therapy accessible to participants who live in regional and remote areas where access to on-the-ground OT services can be limited.

We're looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about developing practical, person-centred therapy plans and finding innovative ways to support participants to achieve their NDIS goals — even when regular face-to-face OT support isn't available.

In this role, you'll work remotely with participants, families, support coordinators, Allied Health Assistants and other key stakeholders to develop and oversee therapy plans that can be implemented locally. You'll provide clinical direction, monitor progress and adapt therapy plans to ensure participants continue to receive meaningful support and access to the services and strategies they need.

The Role

You'll use your clinical expertise to:

• Complete remote Occupational Therapy assessments and develop individualised therapy plans

• Develop practical strategies and interventions aligned with participants' NDIS goals

• Work with participants, families, support coordinators and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities

• Provide clinical guidance and direction to Allied Health Assistants implementing therapy plans

• Support AHAs and other team members to confidently implement therapy strategies in the participant's everyday environment

• Monitor participant progress and review and adjust therapy plans as required

• Identify opportunities for Assistive Technology, environmental modifications and other supports

• Collaborate with other health professionals and support teams to ensure a coordinated approach

• Provide participants in regional and remote areas with ongoing access to OT expertise where local services may not be available

This is a role where you'll need to think creatively about how therapy can be delivered effectively when the OT isn't physically in the room.

About You

We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who is:

• Experienced and confident working autonomously in community or NDIS practice

• Strong in therapy planning, clinical reasoning and goal-focused intervention

• Confident developing practical strategies that can be implemented by others

• Comfortable providing clinical direction and guidance to Allied Health Assistants and support teams

• An excellent communicator with strong documentation and report-writing skills

• Comfortable working remotely and using technology to engage with participants and stakeholders

• Creative and solutions-focused in their approach to therapy

• Passionate about improving access to quality Allied Health services

• Person-centred and committed to achieving meaningful outcomes for participants

• AHPRA registered
