Role OverviewAs a Software Engineer Intern, you will contribute directly to the design, development, and testing of high quality software applications. Working on-site at our Kandy office under the guidance of senior software engineers, you will write clean code and help solve practical technical challenges. This role is ideal for an early career developer looking to build foundational skills in a collaborative environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the design, development, and testing of software applications. Work collaboratively with the team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices. Debug, analyse, and implement fixes for small scale defects and feature enhancements.Ensure code artifacts meet quality standards under senior supervision.Support senior engineers in developing complex features and modules.
QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Ability to work on-site at our Kandy office location.Hands-on experience with at least one core programming language.Fundamental understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum basics).Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL queries.Exposure to React.js and Node.js is an added advantage.Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate within a team.
