Excavator Operator – DIDO | Regional NSW

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team on a DIDO civil infrastructure project in regional NSW. You’ll be working on a busy site delivering a range of earthworks and civil construction tasks, contributing to high-quality project outcomes.

This position suits an operator who is confident, safety-focused, and experienced in civil environments, with the ability to work independently and as part of a crew. Ongoing work is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators for bulk earthworks, trenching, and detailed excavation

• Final trim, battering, and benching to design levels

• Work around live services and follow safe excavation practices

• Read and interpret plans, set-out, and levels

• Perform daily pre-starts and basic machine maintenance

• Work closely with site supervisors, surveyors, and ground crew

• Maintain a safe and productive work environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating wheeled & tracked excavators on civil construction sites

• GPS and/or final trim experience (highly regarded)

• Ability to read and interpret plans and levels

• Strong commitment to safety and site procedures

• White Card (essential)

• Excavator SOA & VOC

• Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (required for DIDO)

• Ability to work rostered shifts and stay away from home
