About the Role

As a Machinery Consultant, you'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities while building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers across Queensland.

Working closely with customers, you'll identify their manufacturing requirements, recommend tailored machinery solutions, and guide them through the sales process from initial enquiry to installation and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Queensland.

• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.

• Promote KDT Australia's range of woodworking machinery.

• Understand customer manufacturing requirements and recommend tailored machinery solutions.

• Conduct machinery demonstrations and product presentations.

• Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts and successfully close sales opportunities.

• Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity within the CRM system.

• Work closely with our service and administration teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.

• Represent KDT Australia professionally at customer sites and industry events.

• Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales targets.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven success in machinery, manufacturing, industrial equipment or related B2B sales.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.

• A proactive, self-motivated and results-driven approach.

• The ability to understand technical products and translate their benefits into practical customer solutions.

• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.

Experience within the woodworking, cabinetmaking, joinery, furniture manufacturing or CNC machinery industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.
