An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a passionate Mental Health Clinician to join the iREACH team based in Murray Bridge. You will have an amazing opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of people, families, and communities through trauma-informed, person-centred care, supporting individuals experiencing substance misuse and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  
The role primarily works with clients aged 18 and over, however with scope to also support the youth, if you have experience in this area.

Key Responsibilities:

This hands-on clinical role will see real variety! Reporting to the Clinical Team Leader and Centre Manager, you will carry a manageable clinical caseload of 5 clients per day with full admin support, while:
  

• Working directly with clients experiencing substance misuse and co-occurring mental health conditions, delivering evidence-based, trauma-informed care through both individual and group programs.
• Learning each client's full story through thoughtful assessment, formulation, and risk management, shaping recovery care plans that meet them where they are.
• Bringing your voice to the team's thinking, contributing to case reviews and integrated care planning so support is genuinely connected and seamless.
• Building strong referral pathways with external services, helping clients with co-occurring conditions move smoothly to the right support.
• Keeping care safe and accountable, maintaining sharp documentation and contributing to clinical governance, peer review, and everyday service improvement.
• Championing evidence-based, trauma-informed practice, and help nurture a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Building genuine, collaborative relationships across services, internal teams, sister organisations, and the community, getting involved in engagement that grows iREACH's presence.
• Creating a warm, welcoming and gentle client-centred space that people feel comfortable walking into.

    
To be successful in this role you will ideally have direct experience working in mental health therapy, however this is not critical if you:

• Hold a qualification and experience working in either Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or Occupational Therapy.
• Hold a mental Health accreditation is advantageous, however not essential if you are willing to work towards one and we will support you!
• Demonstrated experience within counselling, assessment and diagnosis, CBT, or other evidence-based therapies within your discipline.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and with clients who have complex psychosocial needs.
• A commitment to a culturally safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed practice.
• High emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to stay composed in pressured situations.
• A strong and engaging communication style that builds trust quickly with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
• A commitment to ethics, confidentiality, and mandatory notification obligations.
• A valid Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
