OneFortyOne is a trans-Tasman business that owns and manages softwood plantation forests and operates sawmills in Australia and New Zealand. We produce and distribute timber and forest products across Australia, New Zealand and internationally. Jubilee Sawmill is one of the largest and most modern sawmills in South Australia, employing local people, and supporting our community.

We are currently looking for a hands on, pro-active and people-oriented Greenmill Night Shift Leading Hand to join the Greenmill team at Jubilee Sawmill in Mount Gambier.

The Role:

Reporting to the Greenmill Shift Supervisor, the Greenmill Night Shift Leading Hand leads and supports the Pre-Start/Cleaning crew while undertaking hands-on cleaning and operational tasks, proactively solving problems and making decisions to support safe, efficient and productive operations.

This is a permanent night shift role, working 5 x 8-hour shifts from Monday (Sunday night) to Friday morning (9:50pm to 6:00am each night), with overtime as required.

Starting hourly rate of $35.33711 per hour, plus 30%-night shift loading.

You:

• have experience working in a timber mill, with an understanding of isolation and production processes
• have solid interpersonal communication skills, with experience leading a small team, or the willingness and ability to develop leadership skills
• have a practical safety knowledge with a commitment to uphold company safety standards
• are willing and able to undertake hands on cleaning & pre-start duties
• have well-developed time management skills, with the ability to use initiative and motivate others
• are a reliable employee and are able to commit to a permanent night shift roster
• have well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to make effective decisions when required
• understand quality control techniques to maintain high standards of housekeeping
• are competent in the use of computers and software as required
