About the role

We are seeking a Warehouse Manager / Despatch Assistant to join our team at our Dandenong South facility. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise across warehouse management and despatch operations. In this dual-focused role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, maintaining high standards of organisation, safety, and efficiency. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities whilst also providing essential support to our despatch team, making you a key contributor to our operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and despatch of goods

• ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols

• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks

• Monitor warehouse organisation and implement systems to optimise space utilisation and accessibility

• Assist with order preparation, labelling, and coordination of shipments

• Ensure all goods are handled in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations

• Identify and resolve operational issues to improve efficiency and reduce costs

• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety standards

• Liaise with transport providers and clients and customers to coordinate collection and delivery schedules

• Prepare reports on warehouse performance, including KPIs and inventory metrics

• Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices and operational procedures

• Take phone bookings and assist our operations team

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar warehouse operations role within a distribution or logistics environment

• Experience supporting despatch operations

• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software - CartonCloud a big advantage

• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to warehousing operations

• Forklift license including high reach

• Experience in the transport or logistics industry

• Reliable, honest, hardworking and driven

$80,000-$85,000 plus super. Monday to Friday 730am -400pm
