About the role
Help Build Safer Communities Across Tasmania
Surf Life Saving Tasmania (SLST) is seeking a motivated and community-minded Coordinator - Club & Lifesaving Support to join our team.
This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that supports volunteers, strengthens community safety and helps deliver lifesaving services across Tasmania.
As Tasmania's peak body for coastal safety and lifesaving activities, SLST works alongside surf lifesaving clubs, Volunteer Marine Rescue units, emergency services, government and community partners to help keep people safe in and around the water.
This varied and rewarding role supports the delivery of programs, projects and operational services that contribute to safe, effective and sustainable lifesaving outcomes. Key areas of responsibility include:
Coordinate programs, projects and safety initiatives to support Surf Life Saving Clubs and Volunteer Marine Rescue units and our members.
Assisting with community safety and operational activities
Building positive relationships with stakeholders
Maintaining systems, records and reporting processes
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, and helping things get done.
Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities.
A great communicator and relationship builder with diverse stakeholders.
Experienced in program development and coordination.
Confident using IT systems for administration, planning, and reporting.
Flexible to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
Current driver’s licence
Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Employment category)
An understanding of Surf Life Saving or experience working with volunteers or community organisations will be highly regarded.
