Legal Counsel (Retail)

Our client, a high performing Australian renewable energy company, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Legal team.

Responsible for delivering comprehensive, strategic legal advice and services to enable the organisation achieve its core objectives, the Legal team partner with the business in relation to all issues including advising on a range of matters including advising on retail energy laws, regulatory obligations, market rules, and consumer protection requirements; drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts; procurement, compliance, regulatory matters and disputes.

Candidates offering ideally 3 to 6 years’ quality experience in commercial advisory and contracting is essential to be successful in the role. Experience in retail energy regulation is also highly regarded.

Candidates should be well equipped to navigate a fast-paced work environment and confident to handle a broad range of responsibilities.

An eager and positive attitude, a collaborative approach, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders are essential.
