Timber Yard and Sales Person

Location: Orange, NSW

Position Overview: Kent's Hardware are seeking a reliable and motivated Yard and Sales Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of timber and building materials. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring excellent customer service in assisting customers with their building materials needs.

• Loading and unloading timber and hardware products.

• Organising and maintaining the yard to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.

• Safe and timely delivery of goods to meet agreed delivery schedules.

• Operating forklifts and other yard equipment safely and efficiently.

• Conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.

• Ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the yard.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Forklift license and experience in operating forklifts (essential).

• MR truck licence and experience in driving trucks and operating a crane (essential).

• Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy items.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. 

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
