Procurement Specialist

Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist provides practical purchasing and procurement support to Parratech’s manufacturing operations, with a focus on metal, fabrication and engineering-related supplies.

Reporting to the Category Manager / Procurement Manager, this role supports accurate order creation, supplier follow up, delivery coordination, procurement documentation and goods receipting processes.

The role works closely with factory administration, production teams, suppliers, Accounts Payable, Finance, Configuration Control and Quality Assurance to ensure materials, certificates, ITR documentation and supplier information are received, recorded and communicated in a timely manner.

Key Skills:     

• Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems
• Familiarity with Monday.com for task tracking and workflow coordination
• Familiarity with Bluebeam for reviewing drawings and supplier documentation
• Practical understanding of building, structural or engineering environments, including steel products, merchant bar, nuts, bolts, threads and gaskets
• Basic Microsoft Excel capability, including creating and maintaining spreadsheets
• Basic CAD drawing capability, advantageous but not essential
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and supplier communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Factory Administration with delivery dockets for created orders and supplier interactions
• Create purchase orders for approval, including requesting order confirmations, material certificates and estimated delivery dates at the time of order placement
• Enter procurement data into Bills of Materials (BOMs) created at the time of order placement, ensuring order confirmations, certificates and ETA details are accurately recorded
• Track open orders and liaise with suppliers and factory management personnel to monitor delivery progress and resolve delays
• Arrange collection and delivery of goods from suppliers where freight is not included in the order, including subcontractor fabrication orders
• Assist Accounts Payable and Finance with goods receipting, order reconciliation and invoice queries
• Coordinate ITR paperwork with Configuration Control and issue required documentation to suppliers
• Liaise with Quality Assurance regarding ITR documentation, weld testing, material certificates and related quality requirements

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, administration or supply chain support, ideally within a manufacturing, fabrication, construction or engineering environment
• Experience using Monday.com and Bluebeam is desirable
• Sound knowledge of steel products, fittings, fasteners and basic engineering materials is highly desirable
• Strong computer literacy across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Current NSW driver’s licence desirable.
