What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse within the Respiratory Close Observation Unit, you will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care that supports positive patient outcomes. Working collaboratively with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while promoting evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
Deliver comprehensive nursing care using assessment, care planning and evaluation principles
Monitor, document and communicate patient progress to support safe, effective care delivery
Collaborate with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes
Support the learning and development of Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing and nursing colleagues
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and a positive, patient-focused team environment

Essential Criteria:
Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
Recent relevant experience in clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD
Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
