Leading Hand Carpenter

About the role

Woodleigh Home Improvements is a busy family owned building business specialising in renovations around Perth. We are looking for an experienced leading hand Carpenter to join our team of 10 employees including Carpenters, Apprentices and labourers, commencing immediately. We specialise in all aspects of carpentry from framing, lock up and second fix, to external cladding and decking. As we pursue high-end renovations, we are seeking multi-skilled leading hand carpenters with experience in renovations or the building industry. This role offers the perfect opportunity for someone with aspirations of becoming a builder/supervisor or someone who enjoys being part of a build from the ground up. We operate out of Balcatta with jobs all over Perth mainly NOR but also the occasional job SOR.

Key responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work including framing, lock up and second fix

• Execute external cladding and decking projects

• Lead and coordinate carpentry tasks on high-end renovation projects

• Work across multiple job sites throughout Perth

About you

• Certificate III Carpentry & Joinery

• White Card (Required)

• Working at Heights ticket

• Driver Licence (Required)

• Own reliable vehicle

• Own FULL SET of tools

• Commitment and enthusiasm with a genuine interest in carpentry

• Physically fit and capable

• Strong team work and communication

• Previous experience in leading hand carpenter role (preferred)

Job Types: Casual, Subcontract

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Monday to Friday

• Weekend availability

• Perth WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
