About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and reliable Mechanical Trades Assistant to join our team within the Mining Division. The Trades Assistant is responsible for assisting the qualified Mechanical Fitters deliver safe, efficient and compliant diagnostic, repair, maintenance and component replacement services to the Division’s customer base.
Duties
Assist qualified Field Service Technicians
Use basic hand and power tools
Assembly / disassembly of parts and components
Strip, clean and assess parts and components,
Operate workshop equipment including mobile lifting equipment
Lubricate plant and equipment
Basic administrative tasks
Order spare parts
Maintain a safe and clean workplace
Operate relevant Liebherr computer systems
Skills & experience
Previous workshop or mechanical experience desirable
High Risk Forklift Licence preferred
CN Ticket preferred
Working at Heights and/or EWP licences advantageous
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to operate lifting equipment and workshop tools safely
Basic MS Office skills (Word & Excel)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
Willingness to complete required training and development
