About the role

We are seeking a Property Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team on a full-time basis at our Ashmore office in Queensland. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and utilise your property law expertise in a collaborative and professional environment. As a Property Lawyer, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive legal advice and services to our clients across a range of property-related matters. This position offers the chance to work on diverse and interesting cases whilst building your professional reputation within the property law sector.

Key responsibilities

• Advising clients on residential and commercial property transactions, including purchases, sales, and leasing arrangements

• Conducting property due diligence, searches, and title investigations

• Drafting and reviewing property-related legal documents, agreements, and contracts

• Managing property conveyancing matters from initial instructions through to settlement

• Providing guidance on property disputes, including boundary matters and easements

• Ensuring compliance with relevant property legislation and regulations

• Liaising with real estate agents, financial institutions, and other stakeholders

• Maintaining accurate file management and client communication records

• Supporting clients with property-related tax and financial planning considerations where appropriate

What we're looking for

• Admitted as a legal practitioner with a current practising certificate

• Proven experience in property law practice

• Strong knowledge of property conveyancing, real estate transactions, and property legislation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients

• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational abilities

• Proficiency in legal research and legal practice management software

• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

• Professional judgment and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

• Experience in residential and commercial conveyancing is highly desirable

• Strong client service orientation and commitment to delivering practical legal solutions
