The Opportunity
Concrete Partnerships is exclusively representing a well-established national construction business in the appointment of an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Sydney operation.
This is a business with an excellent reputation, a strong and diverse project pipeline and a proven history of successfully delivering complex commercial construction projects.
Operating across commercial, government, education, healthcare, aged care and social infrastructure, the business delivers a combination of new build, major refurbishment and complex projects within live and operational environments.

With a healthy pipeline of secured and upcoming work, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager who can take genuine ownership of their projects and become an important part of the business for the long term.

The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will be trusted with genuine end-to-end ownership of your projects.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will lead the project and site teams while taking responsibility for the successful commercial and operational delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
This is a role with real autonomy and accountability. Your responsibilities will include:End-to-end delivery of commercial construction projectsLeadership of Site Managers, Contract Administrators and project teamsProject planning, programming, procurement and construction methodologyCommercial management, forecasting, claims, variations and cost controlManagement of subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholdersBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clientsIdentifying and proactively managing project and commercial riskDriving programme, safety, quality and financial performanceProviding clear and accurate reporting to senior leadershipManaging projects through completion, handover and close-outSupporting and developing members of the wider project teamYou will be given the space and authority to lead your projects properly, while having experienced and accessible senior people around you when required.
What We're Looking For
We are interested in speaking with accomplished Project Managers and Senior Project Managers who have established themselves within the Sydney commercial construction market. Ideally, you will bring:A strong track record delivering commercial construction projectsNew build and/or major refurbishment experienceStrong construction methodology and programming capabilitySound commercial and contractual knowledgeStrong procurement, forecasting and cost management skillsProven leadership of project and site teamsExcellent subcontractor and consultant managementStrong client and stakeholder relationshipsThe ability to identify problems early and make sound commercial decisionsA professional, accountable and solutions-focused approach
Experience delivering government, education, healthcare, aged care, social infrastructure or technically complex projects within live environments will be highly regarded.
