Service Technician - Boat Repairs & Finishing (Shipwright works)

About the Role:

This is a hands-on role working across a variety of boat repair, maintenance and fit-out projects. We’re open to candidates with Shipwright / marine experience or transferable skills from industries such as spray painting, automotive repair, fibreglass work, cabinet making or similar trades.

What You’ll Do:

• Fibreglass (FRP) structural and cosmetic repairs

• 2-pack paint preparation and finishing

• Installation of onboard equipment and accessories

• Minor 12v component replacements

• Cutting and fitting instruments

• Interior timber/joinery repairs

• Through hull fitting installation and replacements

• Factory & vocational training

• Enjoy solving problems

• Pre-delivery of new vessels

• Vessel restoration

• Some interstate travel

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a hands-on trade (Shipwright, marine, automotive, spray painting, composites, cabinetry or similar)

• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team

• Strong work ethic and ability to manage time effectively

• A safety-first mindset

• Own tools

• Current driver’s licence and ability to travel between sites

• Have the right to work in Australia

Desirable (But Not Essential):

• Experience working on boats

• Boat licence

• Forklift licence
