Medical Receptionist

Come and join the team at Hampstead Health Family Practice and be part of our mission to improve the lives of our patients. We are currently seeking a compassionate, friendly, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist.

As a large multidisciplinary practice, we operate 7 days a week, 365 days per year offering services from 8am to 5.30pm on weekdays, 8am to 5pm on Saturdays, and 9am to 5pm on Sundays and public holidays.

We are offering casual positions for the suitable candidates.

Essential criteria:

• Previous receptionist experience in a general practice setting

• Minimum of 1-2 years of general practice receptionist experience required

Responsibilities:

• Greeting patients warmly upon arrival and managing the check-in process

• Handling incoming phone calls and enquiries with professionalism and empathy

• Managing day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and addressing booking queries via phone, email, and our online system

• Utilising specialised software to support service delivery

• Providing exceptional customer service to ensure an excellent patient experience

• Assisting with various administrative duties such as invoicing and file preparation as required

• Offering general office management support

• Building strong relationships with patients, colleagues, doctors and managers

Skill requirements:

• Customer service skills, with a focus on active listening and effective communication

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, with the ability to navigate multiple programs simultaneously

• Initiative and a willingness to learn

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

• Meticulous attention to detail

Preferred Experience:

• Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with Best Practice software

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Strong focus on accuracy, particularly under pressure
