The Opportunity

• Position: Registered Nurse – Grade 5
• Location: Mackay, QLD
• Unit: Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
• Contract dates: 24/08/2026 – 04/10/2026
• Working days: As per roster
• Working hours: Rotating 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts

About You

You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with recent Coronary Care Unit experience and a strong background in cardiac nursing.

Mandatory Experience

• Previous Coronary Care Unit (CCU) experience

Cardiac Experience – Highly Desirable Experience with:

• Continuous cardiac monitoring
• Haemodynamic monitoring
• ECG interpretation
• Caring for STEMI and NSTEMI patients
• Heart failure management
• Temporary pacing wires
• Inotropes
• Central lines
• Arterial lines
• Pre and post cardiac catheterisation patients, including femoral sheaths
• Non-invasive ventilation, including CPAP/BiPAP
• ieMR

Previous experience working in Australia, Queensland Health and/or Mackay HHS will be highly regarded.
