Venue Manager

About the role

As Venue Manager, you will take ownership of the daily operation of the venue, ensuring service, people, presentation and commercial performance are consistently delivered to a high standard. Working closely with the broader management team, you will lead from the floor, support your team through busy periods and ensure the venue operates efficiently, safely and professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily venue operations across food and beverage service

• Manage, motivate and develop a diverse hospitality team

• Deliver consistently high standards of guest service

• Coordinate rosters and effectively manage labour in line with business requirements

• Lead pre-shift briefings and ensure clear communication across the team

• Maintain strong standards across food, beverage, presentation and cleanliness

• Manage opening and closing procedures

• Monitor stock, ordering, wastage and inventory controls

• Support revenue growth and identify opportunities to improve venue performance

• Ensure compliance with RSA, food safety, WHS and company policies

About you

• Previous experience as a Venue Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Venue Manager or similar hospitality leadership role

• Strong food and beverage operational knowledge

• Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise during busy service periods

• Commercial awareness, including labour, stock and cost management

• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside your team

• A strong understanding of hospitality compliance and safety requirements

• Current RSA and relevant management qualifications/licences, or the ability to obtain them
