About the role

BrainSTIM Therapy is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team, working with children and adolescents in our neurodevelopmental clinic. Our approach is strongly influenced by the Melillo Method, with a focus on understanding the neurological and developmental foundations behind a child's functional challenges. Therapy is practical, active and movement-based.

Key responsibilities

• Primitive reflex integration

• Vestibular and sensory-motor activities

• Balance, coordination and motor planning

• Core and postural development

• Bilateral and cross-body movement

• Visual-motor activities

• Interactive Metronome and rhythm/timing

• Functional OT skill development

About you

• A qualified Occupational Therapist with AHPRA registration

• Warm, energetic and great with kids

• Curious and open to learning

• Interested in neurodevelopment and the brain-body connection

• Comfortable with active, hands-on therapy

• A collaborative and reliable team member

BrainSTIM Therapy is a fun, energetic and slightly different kind of paediatric therapy clinic!

Our team brings over 15 years of experience working with children and families, and since founding BrainSTIM in April 2022, our clinic has focused on a neurodevelopmental approach strongly influenced by the Melillo Method.

We love looking beyond the obvious and asking “why?” Why is this child struggling with balance, coordination, attention, regulation, learning or movement — and what can we do to help build stronger foundations?

Our clinic is hands-on, movement-based and definitely not boring! We combine play, movement, technology and neurodevelopmental principles to create individualised programs for our kids.

We're a small, friendly team who genuinely enjoy what we do, love learning, and aren't afraid to think outside the traditional therapy box. We're looking for an OT who wants to bring their own skills to the team while learning alongside us.
