Yard Hand/Metro HC Driver

About the role

We’re seeking a reliable Metro HC Driver/Yard Hand to join our team in Edinburgh. This role offers variety, hands-on work and the chance to develop or showcase your skills across transport and yard operations. Whether you’re new to the industry and keen to learn, or already experienced and looking for a fresh start, we’d like to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

• Local pick-up and deliveries (Ute/Heavy Rigid/Heavy Combination)

• Loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently

• Forklift operation

• Truck washing and basic vehicle care

• Receiving and dispatch duties

About you

• Positive attitude and reliability

• Minimum HR Licence – HC preferred, but not essential, training available for the right person

• Ability to drive manual vehicle (essential)

• Forklift licence with experience highly regarded

• Mechanical, welding or basic fabrication skills highly regarded

• Commitment to safety and teamwork
