About the role

Brookfield Gardens is a family-owned and operated nursery looking for a passionate horticulturist to join our team. This role blends hands-on horticultural work with strong customer service—particularly on weekends, when we welcome our busiest flow of visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting customers in selecting plants suited to their aesthetic preferences and environmental conditions
• Guiding customers through gardening, landscaping, and planting design ideas
• Identifying and diagnosing plant pests and diseases, and recommending appropriate treatments in a clear, customer-friendly way
• Working in a team and independently, showing initiative and self-motivation

About you

• Qualified tradesperson with solid experience and passion for horticulture
• Demonstrated hands-on horticultural skills and willingness to work outdoors
• Confident, friendly customer service skills and genuine enjoyment in helping customers
• ChemCert certification advantageous
• Right to work in Australia
• Weekend availability essential
