As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced business development professional with a technical background who enjoys working with clients, solving technical challenges and helping shape major energy projects from concept through to contract award.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive – Business Development, you'll join a high-performing team responsible for growing Zenith's project pipeline across thermal generation, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid power solutions. In this key business role, you'll work directly with clients to understand their operational requirements, shape winning solutions and lead opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award. Your role is to bring the team together, lead the tender strategy and ensure Zenith delivers compelling, commercially competitive proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen relationships with mining, industrial and infrastructure clients.
• Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities across Australia.
• Lead multidisciplinary bid teams to deliver high-quality, competitive tender submissions.
• Develop winning bid strategies from opportunity identification through to contract award.
• Coordinate technical solutions, techno-economic modelling, estimating and commercial inputs across the project team.
• Present Zenith's solutions to clients and represent the business throughout the tender and negotiation process.
• Support commercial negotiations alongside Commercial and Legal teams.
• Lead the successful handover of awarded projects to the delivery team.

About You

You are an experienced business development professional with deep technical expertise who enjoys building client relationships, identifying new opportunities and developing innovative energy solutions. This is an opportunity to combine your technical expertise with commercial thinking to help secure Australia's next generation of remote power projects.

You'll ideally bring:

• Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechanical or Power Engineering.
• Experience within power generation, renewables, mining, utilities, EPC or heavy industry.
• Demonstrated success supporting business development, proposals, tenders or technical sales.
• Strong understanding of power generation, hybrid systems or renewable energy technologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to understand project economics.
• Ability to build trusted client relationships and identify new opportunities.
