2 Weeks On / 1 Week Off | Initial 3–6 Month Contract | Potential Extension

About The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Process Safety Specialist to support a comprehensive Process Safety Current State Assessment and gap closure program.

Working closely with the Process Safety Advisor and site stakeholders, you’ll help establish a clear and integrated view of process safety hazards, critical controls, governance, systems, assurance activities and supporting evidence.

The focus is on identifying gaps, improving governance and building sustainable process safety foundations across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

Complete process safety current-state assessments and identify gaps, risks and improvement actionsValidate process safety hazards, top events, critical controls and ownershipReview and improve Hazard Registers, Critical Control Registers and supporting documentationValidate process safety critical assets, maintenance strategies, master data and evidence within SAP Asset ManagementReview risks, incidents, actions and change management information across Archer, Enablon and MOC systemsAssess Critical Control Verification, monitoring, bowtie reporting and assurance activitiesSupport technical process safety reviews across plant, utilities, fire protection and storage systemsDevelop and maintain an integrated Process Safety Control Pack, gap analysis, action plan and governance framework

About You

Demonstrated Process Safety Management experience within mining, oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation or heavy industryStrong understanding of critical controls, bowties, HAZOPs and risk assessmentsExperience with Process Hazard Analysis and Management of ChangeStrong understanding of assurance frameworks and structured risk management systemsExperience with SAP Asset ManagementStrong stakeholder engagement, technical writing and facilitation skillsWorking knowledge of structured Management Operating System standards would be highly regarded
