Located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Robata is a contemporary Japanese restaurant inspired by the centuries-old tradition of cooking over charcoal. Centred around our open robatayaki grill, our menu combines premium Australian produce, Japanese flavours and a modern approach to dining, all delivered in a vibrant, fast-paced setting.

Position Available

Casual Section Waiter – Restaurant Award Level 2

Monday–Friday: $33.85 per hour
Saturday: $40.62 per hour
Sunday: $40.62 per hour
Public Holidays: $67.70 per hour
+ Super + Tips

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

• Managing your own section and delivering attentive, knowledgeable service

• Guiding guests through Robata’s menu and confidently making food and beverage recommendations

• Building rapport with guests and contributing to a memorable dining experience

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Section Waiter or in a similar role within a busy restaurant

• Strong understanding of sequence of service and confidence managing your own section

• Good knowledge of food, wine and beverages, with an interest in Japanese cuisine and sake highly regarded

• Confidence making recommendations and explaining menu items to guests

• Ability to manage multiple tables and priorities during busy services

• Availability to work Thursday - Sunday if needed
