About the role
Position Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Scheduler to join our project teams in Sydney or Melbourne. You’ll provide schedule management and support on live construction projects, while using pre-construction design information to develop tender schedules for upcoming work. It’s a role that places you at the centre of project delivery — working closely with construction teams, contractors, designers and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Produce, manage and update the Integrated Management Schedule across multiple projects using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
Report on schedule progress, and prepare and present schedules and reports to internal teams and external clients
Provide detailed support to construction teams — liaising with contractors to confirm actual progress, proposed plans and methodology
Prepare delay analysis reports for internal and client use, and propose schedule recovery strategies and delay mitigation measures
Produce filtered schedules, extracts, short-term schedules and reports
Communicate with vendors to confirm lead-in periods and delivery dates
Identify and introduce improvements and innovations to the way we plan and deliver
Talent Profile
Proven experience scheduling large construction projects using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 (advanced-level training essential)
Site experience on large construction projects in a management or supervisory capacity
A sound understanding of construction and engineering principles, with an appreciation of buildability and how design decisions affect delivery
Commercial awareness — the ability to recognise and record change events and delays through the construction period
Strong planning, problem-solving and communication skills, with the confidence to present complex information clearly to varied audiences
A construction-related degree or equivalent experience
Experience and knowledge of temporary works and identifying what temporary measures are required to carry out the works. (desirable)
