Venue Manager | Curiosa Wine Bar + STACKS - Canberra

Curiosa is Canberra's newest neighbourhood wine bar, inspired by the food, wine and culture of Italy. Alongside Curiosa sits STACKS, our busy sandwich and coffee bar.

We're looking for a hands-on Venue Manager to lead both venues. Curiosa will be your primary focus, with responsibility for driving the guest experience, developing the team and building the venue's reputation. You'll also oversee STACKS, supporting the Supervisor to maintain high standards and continue growing the business.

This is a role for someone who loves being on the floor, knows how to build relationships with guests and gets excited about bringing new ideas to life.

What you'll be doing

• Leading service from the front and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Building, coaching and inspiring a high-performing team.
• Creating the kind of hospitality that turns first-time visitors into regulars.
• Developing creative promotions, events and social content that keep people coming back.
• Working with our chefs and marketing team to bring fresh ideas to life.
• Supporting the STACKS Supervisor to drive standards, promotions and day-to-day performance.
• Managing rostering, stock control, ordering, labour, venue presentation and financial performance.

About you

• You're a hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys working alongside your team.
• You have experience managing a restaurant, wine bar, café or hospitality venue.
• You have a genuine passion for wine and are excited to deepen your knowledge of Italian wines.
• Great coffee knowledge and barista skills would be a real advantage.
• You're creative, proactive and always thinking about the next promotion, event or great guest experience.
• You're comfortable creating authentic social media content that showcases the venue.
• You're commercially aware, energetic and take pride in running a great business as well as delivering great hospitality.
