We are interviewing candidates for a Technical Co-Founder / CTO Candidate position.This is a core founding-team role for someone who wants meaningful ownership, responsibility and long-term involvement in building a medical technology company.The successful candidate will work closely with the Founder and CEO to lead Nexev’s technical strategy and execution across artificial intelligence, software architecture, clinical data systems and connected medical-device development.This is not a narrow coding position. We are looking for someone who can identify technical priorities, challenge decisions, conduct experiments, solve difficult problems and progressively take ownership of the technical company.
Key Responsibilities include : Lead the technical roadmap for DIALIQStrengthen and validate the intradialytic hypotension prediction modelOwn model deployment, versioning, testing and reproducibilityLead backend, API, database, cloud and cybersecurity architectureEnsure alignment between model outputs, backend services, stored data and the user interfaceSupport integration of the blood-pressure module, Raspberry Pi and connected-device workflowDesign safe handling for missing data, device failure, model failure and offline operationContribute to technical risk management, quality documentation and regulatory preparationRecruit, supervise and review technical contributorsParticipate in selected clinician, hospital, investor, product and regulatory meetingsTranslate clinical requirements into reliable technical systemsHelp build Nexev toward hospital validation, investment and commercial deployment
We are particularly interested in current postgraduate students, recent graduates and early-career technical leaders based in Sydney.Relevant backgrounds may include:Artificial intelligence or machine learningComputer science or software engineeringBiomedical engineeringMedical-device engineeringPhysiological signal processingEmbedded systems, IoT or mechatronicsData science or health informaticsBackend, cloud or clinical-data architectureA PhD, MPhil or Master’s degree is highly regarded. Strong undergraduate candidates with substantial technical, startup or product-development experience will also be considered.

Nexev primarily works across Campbelltown, Lidcombe and Parramatta, depending on the project. There is a pathway to a paid full-time CTO position following sufficient funding, subject to company circumstances and mutual agreement.The CTO title and final equity allocation will be earned through demonstrated contribution and working alignment.
