Mechanic

GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

It is a site requirement for complete site uniform including personal protective equipment and other safety equipment to be worn and utilized.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

The Maintenance Technician is required to maintain, repair and assemble machinery and equipment within the workshop, pit (i.e. haul trucks, front-end loaders, trucks, graders and shovels) or processing plant according to job specifications. 

The Maintenance Technician may be required to work in the pit during machine shuts or in the event of a breakdown.  In these cases the Maintenance Technician is required to fault find on the spot and make necessary repairs to either restore equipment to full function or to enable transport into the workshop for further servicing.

Machinery Operation: 

All earthmoving machinery ie: forklift, excavator, grader, front end loader, haul trucks

Reports To: 

Operations Manager, Three Springs

Shift Cycle: 

6:00AM to 6:00PM 

Monday to Thursday

One half hour break

Licence or Skill Requirements :

Licences:  

Trade Certificate

WA Drivers Licence

Tickets (Desirable):

• Elevated Work Platform

• Forklift

• Overhead Crane

Training:

Various internal training and competency assessments, and/or external training resources will be undertaken by all personnel in this role.
