About The Role

We are looking for that exceptional someone who will have a passion in delivering high quality food to our diners and who will be able to work in a fast-paced and team-orientated work environment. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of high quality dishes, contributing new ideas to the menu, ensuring that stock rotation is efficiently managed, maintaining clean and orderly work spaces, and monitoring portion and quality control.

Joining The Greens North Sydney means you are part of Norths Collective which includes Norths Cammeray, The Alcott Lane Cove, The Verandah Beecroft and Seagulls Tweed Heads.

Your Key Priorities Will Be To

Hands on with the preparation, cooking and presentation of food for all a la carte and events menusFollowing recipes, directions, training and instructions from the Head Chef and Sous Chef dailyQuality and consistency by maintaining plating and presentation, proper portioning and stock management to keep food costs downMaintaining clean and orderly workspacesHygiene and food safety of the highest level in accordance with HACCP and food safety guidelines and Club policies and proceduresActively driving and supporting a range of Work, Health and Safety Compliance activitiesDirecting and supporting those in your team, with positive and clear communication and feedbackTraining of junior kitchen team members demonstrated through policies and procedures and all training courses offered by Norths CollectiveMaintain effective communication with all key stakeholders

The Candidate

Experience in working under pressure in a fast paced and high volume kitchenUnderstanding strict health and hygiene standards and Workplace Health & Safety legislationExperience in food quality control and digital ordering platformsBe familiar with HACCP practices and reporting toolsCurrent NSW Food Safety handling certificate or willing to obtainChef Trade qualificationsBe a multi-functional chef with an interest in expanding your culinary development and hospitality careerCapability to work a rotating roster that includes days, nights, weekends and public holidaysPassionate about producing great tasting, looking quality food
