Procurement Support & Estimator (Manufacturing)

About the role

Key Responsibilities

·         Estimating & Cost Analysis: Develop comprehensive cost models and estimates for custom manufacturing jobs, analyzing production specifications, scrap rates, and labor requirements.

·         BOM Management: Build, maintain, and audit complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate costing, inventory tracking, and seamless handoffs to production.

·         Sourcing & Supplier Relations: Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and lead times with local film and other substrate suppliers.

·         Purchasing & Logistics: Issue purchase orders, monitor raw material delivery schedules, and coordinate with suppliers to prevent production downtime.

·         Cost Control: Track variance between estimated cost vs. actual production cost, identifying opportunities to optimize material utilization and boost margins.

Key Requirements

·         Proven background in procurement, purchasing, and estimating within a manufacturing environment.

·         Hands-on experience creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs).

·         Preferred: Background in flexible manufacturing (e.g., flexible packaging, lamination, converted films, or polymers) and strong knowledge of film structures (peelable films, barrier layers, co-extrusions, or laminates).

·         Strong technical aptitude for reading product specifications and manufacturing processors.

·         Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP systems would be an added advantage.
