Junior or Intermediate Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior/Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to develop their career in a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of accounting services including taxation, financial reporting and business advisory.

Key responsibilities

• Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations

• Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS, and payroll obligations

• Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting processes

• Maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger accounts

• Assisting with budgeting and cash flow reporting

• Liaising with clients

• Supporting the preparation of financial statements and management reports

• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations

• Tax Return preparation

About you

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 1 to 5 years accounting experience (Junior to Intermediate level)

• Working knowledge of accounting principles and Australian taxation requirements

• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Studying toward or completed CPA qualification (desirable)
