Are you passionate about prevention and ready to help make it a routine part of healthcare? Do you want to support initiatives that improve health outcomes, reduce chronic disease, and address health inequities across Western Sydney?
At Western Sydney, we know that better health starts long before people become unwell. Through strong partnerships with clinicians, primary care providers and communities, we're embedding prevention into everyday healthcare to address risk factors such as poor nutrition, physical inactivity, smoking and vaping.
In this role, you'll support the planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-informed prevention initiatives and programs, helping build the capacity of health professionals to integrate prevention into routine care and improve health outcomes across our diverse communities while reducing health inequities.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
· an interest in prevention, chronic disease prevention and population health
· strong population health project management and organisational skills
· strong skills in stakeholder engagement
· experience of working with priority populations and applying health promotion principles to address health inequities.

Essential Criteria:
· Relevant tertiary qualifications at graduate level or above in: population health, health promotion, public health, or other relevant areas.
Selection Criteria:
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications at graduate level or above in: population health, health promotion, public health, or other relevant areas.
2. Project management skills including demonstrated ability to plan, implement, evaluate and disseminate a population health project report on the outcomes of a project.
3. Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain partnerships with community, government and business organisations and agencies, and facilitate collaborative action.
4. High level written and oral communication skills; computer skills; and negotiation and interpersonal skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to analyse, understand and work with, and within, a range of systems, sectors and agencies to implement change.
6. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a cross cultural context, particularly with members of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community and Culturally & Linguistically Diverse communities.
7. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
8. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
