About the role
Barbaro Butchers & Smallgoods is a proud, family-owned and operated Western Australian business based in Perth’s northern suburbs.
Following the launch of our Smallgoods Division just 18 months ago, we have experienced significant growth and now supply more than 250 stores across Australia — and we’re only getting started.
As we enter the next stage of our growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our team and play an important role in supporting our expanding business.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised and reliable person with a can-do attitude, strong communication skills and a positive approach to customer service. This is an opportunity to join a growing family business, take ownership of your role and make a genuine contribution as we continue to expand.
Key Skills & ExperienceThe successful applicant will have experience in:
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Debtor management, including follow-up and collection of outstanding accounts
Customer account management and maintaining positive customer relationships
End-of-month reporting and preparation
Account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
MYOB and Xero
Payroll processing
Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
General bookkeeping and accounting functions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A professional, positive and customer-focused attitude
Experience in the following would be advantageous, but is not essential:
BAS preparation
Stocktakes and inventory reconciliation
Experience with ERP systems, particularly within food manufacturing, production or wholesale environments
Experience within the food manufacturing, wholesale or FMCG industries
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented and willing to get involved. You’ll be comfortable working with numbers while also dealing directly with customers and suppliers in a friendly and professional manner.
As a growing business, this role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to become an important part of our team.
Please note: This is an on-site position based in Perth’s northern suburbs.
If you’re looking for more than just another bookkeeping role and want the opportunity to be part of an Australian family business during an exciting period of growth, we’d love to hear from you.
No recruitment agencies, please.
