Full Time Diesel Mechanic with Field Services - Home every night

Miniquip Hire are looking for a qualified diesel mechanic to join our workshop team.

Immediate start available, working in our service facility located in Forrestdale, Western Australia.

Our fleet includes:

• Excavators from 1T to 15T in weight class
• Skid steer loaders and rubber track loaders.
• Small plate compactors, vacuum trailers, and sundry plant items.
• On road utility vehicles, tray and tipper trucks, single axle, and eight-wheel rigid delivery trucks.
• Monday to Friday work schedule (NO FIFO) – with 4 hours of Saturday work if required. (5 ½ days per week).

Duties

• Identify and resolve issues in diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems using advanced diagnostic techniques.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles to ensure operational efficiency.
• Utilise specialised knowledge to maintain and repair diesel engines across the fleet, including trucks and earthmoving equipment.
• Follow strict safety protocols and quality standards during all maintenance activities to ensure workplace safety and equipment reliability.
• Provide expert advice and support, contributing to the workshop team's ability to tackle complex maintenance tasks effectively.
• Minor welding repairs to equipment and attachments as required.

What we need from you to suit this role:

• Able to work unsupervised when conducting field service duties.
• Diesel Mechanical trade experienced and certification.
• A broad range of diesel mechanical knowledge of trucks and earthmoving equipment.
• HR class Driver’s License.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, diesel, hydraulics, electrical.
• The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Although you will be workshop based you will need the skills to work unsupervised as required.

Qualification and experience

At least 4 - 5 years of experience is required.

Relevant qualifications and training certificates are preferred.

Pay: $33.18 – $63.83 per hour
