With operations based out of our head office in Mount Druitt, a large-scale manufacturing facility in Wagga Wagga, and a production hub in Melbourne, As a Cabinet Maker with Adaptive Joinery, you’ll play a vital role in crafting high-end, custom cabinetry solutions that support regional businesses and enhance commercial environments. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help us continue delivering the standard of excellence that our clients have come to trust. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to creating high-quality, custom joinery.
With experience in working with a range of materials, from timber to engineered wood products, you’ll be responsible for creating, assembling, and installing bespoke cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms and more. If you're a dedicated and skilled Cabinet Maker looking to join a dynamic team, we invite you to apply and help us continue delivering exceptional joinery solutions at Adaptive Joinery Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
Interpret project drawings, specifications, and samples to determine precise requirements, measurements, and construction details. Select appropriate materials such as solid timber, veneers, MDF, plywood, and engineered boards, according to design intent, function, and desired finish. Set up, program, and operate CNC and CAD-based machinery to cut, shape, and mark components with accuracy and consistency.
Fabricate custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects, upholding a high standard of craftsmanship and finish. Undertake on-site installation of cabinetry, furniture, and architectural joinery, ensuring precise fitting and exceptional presentation. Develop and produce bespoke cabinetry solutions for specialised or one-off projects that require intricate detailing and innovation.
Assemble components into finished cabinetry and furniture, maintaining accuracy in alignment, fittings, and overall quality. Apply appropriate finishes, coatings, and sealants to enhance the durability, appearance, and performance of completed pieces. Install and adjust hardware including hinges, handles, runners, and locks to ensure smooth function and refined presentation.
Assist with restoration, modification, or reproduction of existing cabinetry where required, maintaining design integrity and quality. Work collaboratively with colleagues, designers, and project managers to deliver projects efficiently, safely, and to agreed specifications. Qualifications and Skills:
Relevant qualifications or equivalent industry experience A minimum of one years' experience in a similar role. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and project managers.
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precision in the creation, assembly, and installation of custom cabinetry. Proficient in using a range of woodworking tools, machinery, and CAD/CNC equipment for accurate and efficient production. Full-time and permanent position.
