The Role
Warwick SHS is seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to lead the Technologies Learning Area. The successful applicant will be a key member of the senior leadership team, working in close collaboration with the principal to provide educational leadership within the school and the wider community. A central responsibility of this role will be to develop and lead a collaborative team promoting the school’s vision for the Technologies Learning Area. The successful applicant should be an agile and forward thinking leader capable of fostering high levels of engagement and accountability amongst staff with a focus on positive educational outcomes for students.
The successful applicant should be responsible for translating the priorities outlined in the school’s Business Plan and Strategic Directions into a clear and actionable operational plan for the learning area. They will play a pivotal role in supporting staff development both individually and collectively, while ensuring accountability for day-to-day responsibilities and progress towards departmental goals.
A strong emphasis will be placed on leading a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, displaying a clear commitment to the school’s Instructional model and the effective use of performance management processes. The ability to conduct clear, constructive, and solutions focused professional conversations will be ideal in maintaining a positive and resilient working environment.
