Medium Rigid Truck Driver

About the role

We are seeking responsible and experienced Medium Rigid Truck Drivers to join our teams in Glenorchy and Moonah. The ideal candidates will have a valid Medium Rigid Truck Licence and preferably experience with furniture removal or similar moving services. You will be responsible for safe transportation and delivery of goods and furniture, ensuring excellent customer interactions and maintaining vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Medium Rigid trucks safely and efficiently.

• Load, secure, and unload furniture and goods carefully to prevent damage.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.

• Navigate routes within Greater Hobart and Statewide areas effectively.

• Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch teams.

• Assist with packing and unpacking furniture when required.

• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.

• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.

About you

• Valid Medium Rigid Truck Licence (mandatory).

• Previous experience in furniture removal or related transport work (preferred).

• Extensive knowledge of the Greater Hobart region, complemented by strong statewide knowledge of Tasmania.

• Good physical fitness and ability to handle manual loading/unloading.

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
