Key Responsibilities
• Conduct pre‑clearance fauna habitat surveys and assessments• Undertake targeted presence/absence searches for priority species• Supervise vegetation clearing in line with regulatory requirements• Safely and ethically identify, capture, handle, and relocate fauna• Assist with terrestrial and aquatic fauna management activities• Develop and implement nest box plans, including installation and monitoring• Accurately record, process, and report field data• Maintain strict adherence to safe work practices and environmental protocols

Desirable Skills & Qualifications
• Experience as a fauna spotter–catcher or equivalent role in Queensland• Strong fauna identification and handling skills• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying conditions• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Competence with computers and data entry• Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and safe work practices• Construction White Card• Venomous snake handling certification and/or demonstrated experience• Current First Aid certificate• Full Australian driver’s licence• Residence within Greater Brisbane or the Gold Coast region
