Company Description Elross Caravans specializes in designing and manufacturing off-road RVs, mining equipment, commercial and industrial trailers, sea container conversions, commercial kitchen trailers, and other custom trailer projects. Team members contribute directly to creating specialized, high-value equipment for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.Our Production facility works a Monday-Thursday roster on a 40 hour week basis leaving enployees with a 3 day weekend or the option of over time where permitted on Fridays.
Role Description The Fabricator role at Elross Caravans is a full-time, on-site position based in Maddington, WA. Day-to-day responsibilities include fabricating components for off-road caravans, trailers, and custom equipment using materials such as steel and aluminum, following engineering drawings and build specifications. The Fabricator will cut, weld, assemble, and finish structural and body components, ensuring accurate measurements, alignment, and quality workmanship throughout each project. The role involves using hand and power tools, workshop machinery, and welding equipment, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The Fabricator will collaborate with other team members, provide input on design improvements, and support continuous quality checks during the build process.
Qualifications Strong metal fabrication skills, including cutting, shaping, and assembling steel and aluminum components from drawings and plans.Proficiency in welding techniques (e.g., MIG/TIG) and safe operation of workshop tools and machinery.Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and build documentation with high attention to detail.Experience in trailer, caravan, automotive, or heavy equipment manufacturing or similar fabrication environments.Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and correct fabrication issues during the build process.Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to safe work practices, PPE use, and hazard awareness.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across production and design teams.Relevant trade qualification in fabrication, sheet metal, welding, or a related field is requiredReliable, self-motivated, and able to manage workload and deadlines in a busy workshop setting.
