YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE - MY Room Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology Fellow
Overview:
The Victorian AYA Cancer Service is a state-wide initiative aimed at improving the delivery of high-quality care for young Victorians diagnosed with cancer.
Embedded within the service, the The My Room Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology Fellow position offers a unique opportunity to gain specialised experience and training in AYA Oncology. The fellowship provides broad exposure in the care of young people across multiple tumour streams including sarcoma, testicular cancer and brain tumours, as well as participation in the AYA transition program. A strong emphasis is placed on developing skills in developmentally appropriate, age‑specific oncological care. The role offers excellent opportunities for AYA specific clinical experience, research, teaching and education. There are also opportunities to lead research and/or quality improvement projects under the supervision of the Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology Leadership Team. The fellowship is open to both paediatric and adult oncology trainees and is suitable to be used for the Paediatric Developmental and Psychosocial mandatory training term or Non-core adult training requirements.

The Victorian Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer Service is a multidisciplinary service providing high quality oncology care to young people and their families alongside a state-wide secondary consultation service, AYA directed research and education and training programs.
This Clinical Fellow position provides experience and training in Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology. The fellowship is embedded within a range of tumour streams (sarcoma, testicular and brain cancer) with a focus on building the skillset for developmentally appropriate oncological care. There are excellent opportunities for AYA specific clinical experience, research, teaching and education. There are also opportunities to lead quality improvement projects under the supervision of the Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology Leadership Team.
