We're on the lookout for an Electrician Apprentice to support Electricians in the maintenance, operation, and repair of electrical systems to join our Select team in Sydney. Our team in NSW is growing, and we have several full-time permanent positions available.

This role offers the opportunity to work in large facilities and construction sites that may be commercial, industrial, governmental, or residential on equipment such as HVAC Systems, lighting systems, conductors, power distribution and cables.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day. Each week 2 hours accrues towards a Rostered Day Off (RDO). The typical working hours are 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, however will vary based on client requirements.

You will be responsible for supporting Electricians in the maintenance, operation, and repair of electrical systems. You will assist with and perform installation and maintenance tasks in order to ensure the effective operation of various electrical equipment.

Day to day responsibilities include: 

• Assist with installation and service of refrigeration and air conditioning pipework, equipment and systems.

• Working with flexible chords, plugs and wired electrical equipment associated with refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

• Locate and correct faults in electrical equipment associated with refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

• Support and assist the qualified technicians with installation tasks required to meet timelines, client expectations and compliance standards

• Complete accurate and detailed documentation on time while maintaining professionalism as a representative of Select.

REQUIREMENTS

• Construction Induction Card (White Card) 

• Driver Licence required

• Ability to obtain police clearance and working with children check 

• Valid work rights in Australia
